The Black Student Union serves to establish an unshakable bond between black students, black faculty and the general Maricopa community to promote the development of educational opportunities and to increase awareness of black culture. The group provides a central forum for the open dialogue of political, spiritual, cultural, economic, social and academic conditions in the black community.
Membership
All students from all walks of life are invited to join the BSU to learn more about black culture. The BSU exists to enhance cultural and political awareness; as well as to provide social events and support for students.
The BSU celebrates in getting new members because each new member will strengthen the BSU’s dedicated effort to building the community and to encouraging all to work collectively to ensure continuing student success.
