The purpose of ARCS is to disseminate valuable information to the students in the respiratory program as well as to students in other allied health programs and to the community at large. The club organizes projects and events pertaining to pulmonary healthcare and well-being including promoting smoking prevention and pulmonary health awareness. ARCS also serves as a social group to help respiratory care students succeed in college and create social bonds among respiratory care students and other students at GateWay.
Membership
All students in the respiratory therapy program are members. For information on becoming an active member, contact any faculty advisor or club member.

Recent Activities
- Participated in Alcohol Awareness Week by displaying information on campus noting the respiratory effects of alcohol on the body as part of a national campaign which is observed annually during the third full week in October
- Coordinated events for Respiratory Care Week which highlighted the career of a respiratory therapist during the last full week of October
- Promoted the Great American Smokeout to inform GateWay students and staff on the effects of smoking as a detriment to lung health. The club also offered support to quit smoking
- Adopted a family for the holiday season
- Participated in Healthcare in the Park in conjunction with Scottsdale Healthcare and Maricopa Tobacco Prevention
