Eligibility:
The Upward Bound Program is funded by the Department of Education and has requirements for eligibility. Students who meet the following criteria can be considered as a participant after applying.
Who Can Participate?
- Students from North High School - recruited as freshman.
- Must be a first-generation college student (parent/guardian has not attained a four-year college degree), or
- Meet low income requirements (defined by the federal government standards).
- Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
- A current minimum of 2.25 GPA.
- A student in need of academic support in high school and has the potential for academic success in postsecondary education.
- Be between the ages of 13-19.
- Have motivation to attend a post secondary education.
