Disbursing Financial Aid Checks
The Cashier's Office will disburse excess financial aid funds approximately 20 days after the semester starts, except for first time borrowers for loans, their aid will be disbursed approximately 30 days after the beginning of the semester. Please plan for the delayed disbursement.
The following criteria must be met for a check to be disbursed.
- You have a grants or scholarship awards for the semester.
- You are enrolled in the proper credit hours for which you were awarded a grant or scholarship.
- You have completed all coursework from prior semesters
- Your classes have began and you are attending all your class
- You are in a program of study that is eligible for federal financial aid.
- You have maintained the standards as outlined in the Procedures of Satisfactory Academic Progress for Financial Aid Eligibility.
- Your grants and/or scholarship award(s) is/are more that your tuition and fees for the semester.
- You are not a first time borrower and you have attended the required loan entrance session.
- You have provided Admission and Records with a current Arizona address
- You have two forms of picture identification and the address on one match the Arizona address provided to Admission and Records.
If any of the above does not apply, then the financial aid check may not be available for immediate disbursement.
