What Is the "Power" Program?
The POWER Program is a course for adults in transition, and provides these adult students with an opportunity to attend two integrated classes: Career Work Exploration and Introduction to Computers.
The Career Work Exploration course guides the student through a series of exercises that promote self-discovery, with a focus on job preparation. Students are empowered with knowledge to help them explore careers, jobs, and educational opportunities.
The Introduction to Computers course is designed to assist students in developing job skills through state-of-the-art computer instruction. Students are introduced to the basic concepts of the Microsoft Office family, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Power Point.
Program participants may choose from two options: Evening classes, or Day classes. Classes run between seven and eight weeks, depending upon class selection and the time of the year.
Upon completion of the courses, the student will earn four college credit hours.
Who Is Eligible?
