A complete college experience must involve not only the development of academic skills, but also the development of personal and interpersonal competencies. GateWay provides a vast array of resources and activities for all types and levels of students.

Adult Re-entry

The GateWay Adult Re-entry program provides a variety of resources for the returning adult student who is wishing to begin a new career, or to resume their educational experience.

ACE Program

The Achieving a College Education (ACE) program at GateWay is designed for high school students who traditionally may not have gone to college. ACE provides the tools and resources to persist in high school, transition to college then on to a university, making the dream of a bachelor’s degree a reality.

College Bookstore

The College Bookstore carries books, supplies, and various items for your academic and campus needs. View our page for hours and a link to the online e-Follett store.

Career & Employment Service Center

The Career & Employment Services Center is open to all students, alumni and the community and offers the most current resources as well as individualized assistance. Let the Career & Employment Services Center assist you with all your career and job search needs.

Cashier's Office

The GateWay College Cashiers Office will provide excellent service, with high standards of conduct, for our students, staff, and faculty; and will support the GateWay College mission with cashier services that are prompt, courteous, and efficient.

Children's Learning Center

The GateWay Children's Learning Center offers a safe and affordable environment for children, as well as peace-of-mind for the parent/student. It's comforting to know that your child is cared for as you pursue your course of study.

College Safety

As a GateWay student, be assured that GateWay Community College is committed to providing and maintaining a safe, friendly campus. College Safety provides a number of helpful services for your welfare.

Computer Commons

The Computer Commons is the ideal place to do your homework. It has 50 computers, each on its own table with room for books or papers, and is open into the evening and on Saturdays for GateWay students. Each computer has all the Microsoft software that you need for your assignments and is connected to the Internet. The Computer Commons also has two private study rooms for group projects.

Counseling

GateWay counselors offer a variety of services in a safe, caring environment. Success is our primary goal for you through educational planning and classroom instruction. The GateWay counselors are available for counseling, consultation and coordination using strategies to meet your individual needs at no cost if you are enrolled as a student.

GWCC Honors

Explore the possibilities of GateWay's dynamic Honors Programs, as you realize your academic goals and aspirations. The Honors Programs recognize and encourage GateWay's academically gifted students.

Learning Center

All the help you need to succeed in college can be found in the Learning Center. Offering students free tutoring for almost any class taught at GateWay and tutoring in effective study skills, test taking, textbook reading, note taking and time management, as well as computer labs available for free to use the Internet, type papers, prepare presentations, study educational software, or run a spreadsheet. All this plus biology models, audio/visual tapes, microscopes and more!

ESL Center

The ESL Center is dedicated to serving the needs of students who are non-native English speakers. By using the Center, students improve their skills in speaking, reading and writing English.

Wellness

The Wellness agenda is an integral component of the Student Life program at GateWay, advocating not only physical health, but also a balanced approach to life.

Activities

GateWay offers exciting opportunities for students who wish to participate in cultural clubs and organizations that are associated with specific career fields.
