Parking Permits
All college students and employees who operate a motor vehicle on college property must register their vehicle, and secure and display a current parking permit on the vehicle. Parking permits may be obtained in the College Safety Building from 8:00 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday. Applicants must provide the license plate number of the vehicle being registered and show a valid driver's license. There is no fee for the parking permit.
An out-of-state/out-of-county student or employee who operates or parks a motor vehicle on college property must sign an affidavit that the vehicle complies with Arizona Revised Statute 49-542 relating to vehicle emission testing and compliance. Vehicles that do not comply will not be issued a parking permit.
On autos or trucks, parking permits must be permanently affixed on either the inside of the lower front windshield (driver's side) or on the lower left back windshield (driver's side). On motorized cycles, the permit shall be affixed where it can be seen without difficulty on the front fender or fork. Temporary permits shall be placed on the dashboard or rear view mirror so they are easily visible from the outside.
Visitors must park in a designated visitor parking area. Vehicles which bear a valid college parking permit (from any MCCCD college) may not park in a visitor parking space.

The CSD will provide reasonable assistance to campus community members who lock their keys inside of their vehicle and/or whose vehicle is disabled on campus. Requests for assistance should be made inside the College Safety Building. A valid parking permit must already be affixed to the vehicle that is requiring assistance. The driver will be required to complete and sign a "Motor Vehicle Assistance Agreement" and show a valid driver's license. After the driver of the vehicle prepares and signs the appropriate vehicle assistance form, an officer will provide a battery boost or assist with opening the vehicle.
Saturday Parking At GWCC
Although Park N' Swap utilizes GWCC parking lots on Saturdays, college students and employees have first priority to parking spaces. Two parking lots are reserved for the exclusive use of our campus community. The first reserved area is located to the right when entering the college from the main 40th Street entrance. The other area is located on the south side of the Administration Building facing Washington Street. The entry point into the south area is located between Washington Street and the student services side of the Administration Building.
Both parking areas will have a College Safety parking attendant at the entrance. The attendant will allow entry to vehicles with an affixed college parking permit or when the driver displays his/her college identification card. If you experience a parking problem, the matter should be brought to the attention of the on-duty College Safety Officer, or the Director of College Safety during regular business hours.
